Eligibility

Target patients

• Children under two years old with bronchiolitis

Local study conflicts

• No co-enrollment conflicts

Inclusion Criteria:

• Children under two years of age presenting to, or admitted to, participating hospitals with clinical features of bronchiolitis (cough, tachypnoea or chest recession, and wheeze or crackles on chest auscultation)
• or
• first episode of acute viral wheeze.

Exclusion Criteria:

• Any previous episode of wheeze responsive to a bronchodilator, suggesting an underlying diagnosis of recurrent wheeze of early childhood.
